Hogsmeade Apothecary

The inspiration for this scene was a gift of a room box store. The box was enclosed on the top which makes it very difficult to work with AND prevents the viewer from looking down into the scene.
I want to see as much of a scene as possible so I always make sure one can see through the top.

Above is the front view of the store with the copper roof I added to the bay window. This is the back view. See how restricted the scene would be without the see through top?

Once I decided how to access the interior of the box, I had to envision a setting for the store. As a Harry Potter fan, I didn't want a Diagon Alley store so I decided on an Apothecary Store in Hogsmeade. That would be easier for the students to visit from Hoswarts. Mademoiselle Odette is the proprietor. She sells ingredients, J. Pippin's Potions sells the already prepared potions.

Wall of potion materials.with content labels.
Wall with names of materials available for sale, door into shop, blackboard with Specials, container with live materials, check out counter with scales for measuring amounts.

Bay window with bottle display (I made the acrylic clear shelves) and counter with fur that might be needed for a particular potion.
From the Specials sign one can see that the monetary unit used here is the Newt.

Angled top view with more detail than top view
View from above showing all the scene elements in position. Now you can see all the elements together to include the witch over by the dried ingredients display.
